For over a decade, Yograj Singh has frequently targeted MS Dhoni in the media, blaming the former captain for Yuvraj’s exclusion from the national side. While Yuvraj has historically avoided commenting on these outbursts, a newly released teaser for an upcoming podcast on Sports Tak shows the former all-rounder finally addressing the friction.

“I have told dad that it’s not ok,” he noted, referring to the frequent outlandish claims Yograj makes regarding various figures in the cricketing world.

While Yograj’s animosity toward Dhoni is well-documented, he recently shifted his focus back to 1983 World Cup-winning captain Kapil Dev. Yograj continues to harbor a grievance stemming from his own removal from the Indian team in the early 1980s, an event he blames entirely on Kapil. In a startling revelation, Yograj claimed he once went to Kapil’s residence with a firearm to confront him over the alleged sabotage of his career. For his part, Kapil Dev has largely ignored the provocation, at one point dismissively asking, “Who is Yograj Singh?”
The Evolution of the Dhoni Conflict
Interestingly, Yograj’s stance on MS Dhoni has recently shown signs of softening. This change followed a public clarification from former BCCI Chairman of Selectors Sandeep Patil, who confirmed that the decision to move on from Yuvraj Singh was a collective call by the selection committee based on performance, rather than a personal demand from Dhoni.
