The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is expected to open the Class 10 rechecking and revaluation window shortly after announcing the 2026 board results. Students who are not satisfied with their marks can apply online through a structured, multi-step process within a limited time frame.
The process is expected to begin in May–June 2026, soon after the results are declared. Students should note that each stage has a short application window, generally within 15–20 days of the result declaration.

CBSE follows a three-stage post-result process, each with its own fee:

CBSE earlier implemented a step-by-step system that must be followed in order:
1. Photocopy of Answer Sheet
Apply online to receive a scanned copy of your evaluated answer sheet.
This helps you identify unchecked answers or possible marking errors.
2. Verification of Marks (Rechecking)

Mistakes in mark entry
3. Revaluation (Question-wise)
After reviewing the answer sheet, students can challenge specific answers.
Re-evaluation is allowed only for selected questions.
How To Apply for CBSE 10th Rechecking/Revaluation 2026
Follow these steps:
— Visit the official CBSE website (cbse.gov.in or the results portal).
— Click on the “Re-evaluation/Verification” link.
Log in using:
— Roll number
— School number
— Admit card ID
— Select the subject(s) and the required service (verification/photocopy/revaluation).
— Pay the applicable fee online.
— Submit the application and save the confirmation.
Applications open soon after the results are declared. Each stage remains open only for a few days (typically 2–5 days). Missing the deadline means students will lose the opportunity to apply.
Consider applying for re-evaluation process only if marks is much lower than expected or totaling errors are likely. Some answers appear to be unchecked. Marks may increase, decrease, or remain the same. Any revised marks will be treated as final. An updated marksheet will be issued if there are any changes.
