
BASF has raised European prices for neopentylglycol by €250 (~$293) per metric tonne and 1,6-hexanediol by €300 (~$351) per metric tonne, effective immediately or as contracts permit.
The company cited global supply-demand conditions and higher raw material costs.
Both polyalcohols are widely used in coatings, resins, adhesives, polyurethanes and other applications.
