China to host 100 plus import promotion events globally in 2026

China’s Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) has announced plans to organise more than 100 import promotion events in 2026 to expand the inflow of high-quality international goods into the Chinese market.

Speaking at a press conference, MOFCOM spokesperson He Yongqian said the initiative, themed ‘Exports to China’, aims to strengthen trade cooperation and create new opportunities for overseas businesses seeking access to Chinese enterprises and consumers, as per local media reports.

The first overseas event under the initiative is scheduled to be held in Belarus on June 7, followed by another in Germany on June 11, marking the programme’s debut in the European Union.

China’s Ministry of Commerce will organise more than 100 import promotion events in 2026 to help global companies expand exports to China.
The initiative, themed ‘Exports to China’, will begin with events in Belarus and Germany, including its first programme in the European Union, while promoting stronger international trade cooperation.

He noted that the events will serve as platforms connecting global suppliers with the Chinese market, while helping participating countries benefit from China’s economic growth and consumption demand.

The ministry also encouraged international companies to take part in major trade exhibitions in China, including the China International Import Expo (CIIE), to deepen bilateral trade engagement.
