CRPF Constable Recruitment 2026: The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has announced recruitment for 9,175 Constable (Technical and Tradesman) posts. The minimum educational qualification required is 10th pass. This recruitment is open to both male and female candidates. The application process will begin on April 20, and the last date to submit the application form is May 19.
A notable feature of this recruitment drive is the large number of vacancies reserved for candidates from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. As per the notification, 1,215 posts are reserved for candidates from Uttar Pradesh and 694 for candidates from Bihar.
CRPF Constable Recruitment 2026: Educational Qualification
Candidates must have passed the 10th standard from a recognised board. They should also possess an ITI certificate or strong proficiency in the relevant trade. For driver posts, a heavy motor vehicle driving licence is mandatory. For motor mechanics, candidates must have passed 10th and either completed 2 years of ITI in the relevant trade, or 3 years of apprenticeship along with 1 year of work experience.
CRPF Constable Recruitment 2026: Age Limit
For Constable (Driver), the age limit is 21 to 27 years. For Constable (Motor Mechanic, Cobbler, Carpenter, Tailor, Brass Band, Pipe Band, Gardener, Bugler, Painter, Cook, Barber cum Hair Dresser, Washerman (Male and Female), Water Carrier, Sweeper, Mason, Plumber, Electrician), the age limit is 18 to 23 years. Age relaxation will be provided to reserved category candidates as per government rules.
CRPF Constable Recruitment 2026: Selection Process
The selection process for CRPF Constable recruitment will start with a Computer Based Test (CBT). Candidates who qualify will be called for the Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET). This will be followed by a trade test, document verification, and finally a medical examination. The physical standards will be as per the norms specified in the notification.
CRPF Constable Recruitment 2026: Salary
CRPF Constable (Technical & Tradesman) will receive salary as per Pay Level-3, ranging from Rs 21,700 to Rs 69,100.
