The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) has released the third round of lottery results for Balvatika and Class 1 admissions for the 2026-27 academic session. Parents who submitted online applications between March 20 and April 2 can now check their child’s selection status on the official KVS websites, kvsangathan.nic.in, and admission.kvs.gov.in.

Admissions to Balvatika and Class 1 in Kendriya Vidyalayas are conducted through a computer-based lottery to ensure fairness and transparency. The system generated provisional selection and waiting lists, which are then published on the scheduled dates.

For classes beyond Class 1 (Class 2 onwards), admissions are conducted offline, subject to seat availability, and those lists are released separately. Admissions to Class 11 will commence after the declaration of CBSE Class 10 results.

Those selected will have to complete document verification and admission formalities. Students and parents are required to visit the allotted Kendriya Vidyalaya along with the required documents and pay the admission fee to complete the procedure and reserve the seat. The documents required for verification are a birth certificate, Aadhaar card, caste certificate (if applicable), government service certificate of parents (if applicable) and proof of residence).

Kendriya Vidyalaya Balvatika is a pre-primary education initiative under the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS). It aims to provide early education to children aged 3 to 6 years, following the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. The curriculum focuses on interactive and play-based learning to foster holistic development and strengthen the foundation for future schooling. Balvatika serves as an alternative to Nursery, LKG, and UKG, which were traditionally offered only in private schools.
