A man was arrested on felony stalking charges outside the Los Angeles home of LeBron James on Friday night after he claimed to be the NBA star’s son. Security staff spotted the man on camera around 9 p.m. and called 911. Officers found him near the Brentwood property and took him into custody without incident. James was nowhere near the house. He was in Cleveland with the Philadelphia 76ers, facing the Cavaliers. The man is not believed to have gotten inside, and police have not released his name.

Man Claims To Be LeBron James’ Son As Outside Noise Follows The Star

LeBron James was hundreds of miles away while the arrest played out at his Brentwood home. A spokesperson for James offered no comment. The incident adds another odd moment to a busy few weeks for the four-time MVP.

Last month, Donald Trump posted a video of James stretching during the national anthem before the 76ers played the Knicks at Madison Square Garden. Footage showed James loosening his torso in a motion that looked like a golf swing. Trump wrote, “While listening to our National Anthem, LeBron James disrespects our Country.” He added, “LeBron James should apologize to all of those Great American Warriors and Heroes who died for the American Flag, and all that our Country stands for!”

James answered after Philadelphia’s comeback win over the Cavaliers. “It’s a slow news day at the office, you know. Slow news day in the office,” he told reporters. Coach Nick Nurse also brushed it off, saying the comments were “right in with all the other outside noise we’ve already had.” He went on to say, “All I really care about is getting them to the practice floor, getting in the film room, getting them to the game floor. And the focus that they’ve had and the intent and all the stuff they’ve had has been excellent,” Nurse said.

James Has A Rough Night In Cleveland As Sixers Lose

Friday was a tough one on the floor. James scored eight points on 3-for-12 shooting and missed all four three-point tries. Cleveland won 119-95, and the Sixers fell to 8-2. The Cavaliers took James first overall in 2003, and he won a title with them in 2016 during a second stint.
