Punjab Police is set to commence the recruitment drive for 3298 vacancies in both District Cadre and Armed Cadre today, March 10, 2026. Interested and eligible candidates will be able to apply online starting today till March 30 through the official recruitment portal, punjabpolice.gov.in.
Punjab Police Recruitment 2026: Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must be a citizen of India, who has not obtained the citizenship/permanent residency/green card of any other country. The minimum age as of January 1, 2026 should be 18 years and maximum age must be 28 years.
Candidates must have passed class 12 or its equivalent from a recognised education board. Besides, all candidates must have passed matriculation examination with Punjabi as one of the compulsory or elective subjects or any other equivalent examination in Punjabi language specified by the Punjab government.

The pay scale for the constable position is Rs 19,900, with a minimum monthly salary of Rs 19,900 for the first three years from the date of joining.
