TNEA Exam 2026: If you have a low JEE Main score, pursuing a B.Tech is still a good option. Tamil Nadu has several top engineering colleges, where admission is through Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA). The Tamil Nadu Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE) has invited applications. As per the notification, eligible candidates seeking admission to various courses in government and government-aided colleges in Tamil Nadu can register for TNEA 2026 by visiting tneaonline.org or dte.tn.gov.in. Candidates can log in to the portal using their username and password.

The last date to register for Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions 2026 is June 2. The last date to upload all required documents is June 6. DoTE will conduct certificate verification between June 8 and June 20, and the final rank list will be released on June 29.

As per the instructions, candidates must upload their certificates for verification. In case of any discrepancies, they should immediately contact TNEA officials.

TNEA 2026: Keep these documents ready

– 10th mark sheet

– 12th mark sheet

– Details of the school where he/she studied from class 6 to 12

– Community/Caste information

– Aadhar card

– Parents’ annual income information

Application Fee

The registration fee for candidates belonging to OC, BC, BCM, MBC, and DNC categories is ₹500, while for SC, SCA, and ST categories, the fee is ₹250. TNEA stated in an official announcement that applicants can contact the Integrated Call Center at DoTE between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. for any queries during the registration process by calling the toll-free number 1800 4250110 or emailing tneacare@gmail.com.

How many seats are there for B.Tech?

There are over 2 lakh engineering seats available in 400 colleges affiliated with Anna University in Tamil Nadu. B.Tech seats will be allotted through an online counselling process, which will be conducted in multiple rounds.
