The second-generation Creta facelift has been on sale for two years. Since then, Hyundai has updated its trim line-up and introduced additional features to keep India’s bestselling midsize SUV up to speed with the competition. Currently, the Creta is sold in seven trims, namely E, EX, EX(O), S(O), SX, SX Premium and King. Moreover, the Knight Edition brings cosmetic changes, while the Summer Edition for select variants adds convenience and feel-good features.

So which variant of the Hyundai Creta should you buy?
We’d recommend the S(O) trim, as it comes across as well-equipped for its price and is available in all powertrain combinations. For buyers mostly driving in the city, the naturally aspirated petrol engine, especially with the CVT, is the most suitable. Highway-focused customers could go for the diesel engine with the automatic transmission. Those looking for a spirited driving experience can opt for the King turbo-petrol DCT variant or consider the Creta N Line, which offers the same powertrain combo and also a manual gearbox for those who prefer it.
