CBSE Class 10 Results: As lakhs of students across the country checked their scores, regional performance data revealed which cities recorded the highest number of successful candidates.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has declared the Class 10 board examination results for 2026, with an overall pass percentage of 93.70 per cent, showing a slight increase from last year. CBSE Class 10 Results 2026: Who Are Top Performers?
Among all regions, Trivandrum and Vijayawada emerged as the top performers, both recording an impressive 99.79 per cent pass rate, making them the highest in the country this year. These regions were closely followed by Chennai, which posted a pass percentage of 99.58 per cent, continuing its strong academic performance trend.

Bengaluru secured the fourth position with 98.91 per cent, while Delhi West and Delhi East also featured prominently with 97.45 per cent and 97.33 per cent, respectively. Pune and Ahmedabad followed, reporting 96.66 per cent and 96.61 per cent, while Ludhiana and Ajmer rounded off the top ten regions with 95.70 per cent and 94.78 per cent.
Beyond the top tier, Bhubaneswar recorded 94.67 per cent, followed by Gurugram at 93.21 per cent. Bhopal and Panchkula reported pass percentages of 92.48 per cent and 92.24 per cent, respectively, while Lucknow and Dehradun remained just above the 91 per cent mark.

In the lower half of the rankings, Prayagraj and Patna recorded 89.45 per cent and 89.33 per cent, followed by Raipur at 88.41 per cent. Noida, Ranchi and Guwahati were among the regions with comparatively lower pass percentages, with Guwahati recording the lowest at 85.32 per cent.
This year, over 24.8 lakh students registered for the examination, with more than 23.16 lakh students successfully passing, reflecting consistent overall performance across regions despite variations in pass percentages.
