The CAT 2026 application form correction window has opened today, October 5, 2026, for candidates who successfully registered for the Common Admission Test and paid the applicable application fee.
The facility has been activated by IIM Indore, the conducting institute for CAT 2026, on the official website, iimcat.ac.in. The correction window opened at 10 am and will remain available until 5 pm on October 6, 2026. IIM Indore has clearly stated that the correction deadline will not be extended.
The edit facility is limited to selected fields. Candidates should therefore use this short window carefully and make any permitted corrections before the deadline.
CAT 2026 Correction Window: What Can Be Edited?
Candidates who are eligible to use the correction facility can make changes to the following details:
- Photograph
- Signature
- Test state
- Test city preferences
The correction facility does not provide an option to modify every section of the submitted application. Details such as the candidate’s name, date of birth, mobile number and email ID cannot be changed through this edit window. Candidates should therefore check the permitted fields carefully before saving their corrections.
Who Can Access CAT 2026 Form Correction?
The correction facility is available only to candidates who have successfully completed CAT 2026 registration and paid the required application fee. Applicants need to use their existing login credentials to access the application dashboard.
Candidates who have already submitted their forms should log in as early as possible, especially if they need to replace an incorrect photograph or signature or modify their test-city preferences.
CAT 2026 Application Correction: How to Edit Form
Candidates can follow these steps to make corrections:
1. Visit the official CAT website at iimcat.ac.in.
2. Click on the Existing User or candidate login option.
3. Enter the registered user ID and password.
4. Open the CAT 2026 application dashboard.
5. Select the correction or edit application option.
6. Modify the permitted details, such as photograph, signature or test-city preferences.
7. Review all updated information carefully.
8. Save and submit the changes.
9. Download or print the updated application form for future reference.
Candidates should complete the correction process before 5 pm on October 6 because no extension has been announced for the facility.
CAT 2026 Exam Date and Shift Timings
The CAT 2026 examination is scheduled for November 29, 2026. IIM Indore will conduct the computer-based examination in three sessions across around 170 cities.

CAT 2026 Exam Pattern
CAT 2026 will assess candidates in three sections: Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC), Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR), and Quantitative Aptitude (QA). Candidates will take the examination in a computer-based format, with separate time limits for each section.
CAT scores are used by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) for admission to MBA and other postgraduate management programmes. Several other participating institutes also use CAT scores as part of their admission process.
Candidates who need to update any permitted information should complete the correction before October 6, 2026, at 5 pm. Since IIM Indore has stated that the deadline will not be extended, applicants should not wait until the final hours to make changes.
