Spain coasted to a rampant 4-0 win over Saudi Arabia in their FIFA World Cup 2026 Group H encounter at the Atalanta Stadium in USA on Sunday as Mikel Oyarzabal and Lamine Yamal starred for La Roja.
Yamal put the former champions ahead as early as the 11th minute in the game as he bagged his first goal of the season.
Oyarzabal, who was chastised for his lacklustre showing in the side’s opener against Cabo Verde which finished scoreless as he failed to take a touch in the initial half hour of the opener, doubled Spain’s lead to drown out the noise.
Oyarzabal doubled his tally to put Spain three ahead just minutes after his first strike as La Roja maintained cruise control into the half-time break.
Iran’s wounds were prodded further as Hassan Altambakti turned the ball into his own net to hand Spain a four-goal lead.
