Just two days after Adrian Appiolaza’s departure, Moschino has appointed Loris Messina and Simone Rizzo —co-founders and former creative directors of Sunnei— as the brand’s new creative directors, with immediate effect. Their debut collection will be unveiled in September 2026 at Milan Fashion Week.

“In the evolution of a maison, the ability to marry identity and innovation is essential. Loris Messina and Simone Rizzo possess the qualities needed to meet this challenge: a contemporary creative vision, profound cultural sensitivity and the capacity to craft relevant design languages. We are confident that their contribution will further strengthen Moschino and support its growth in the years to come,” said Massimo Ferretti, Executive Chairman of Aeffe S.p.A.
“We have always been struck by Franco Moschino’s ability to question conventions through creativity while maintaining a clear and coherent voice. It is a rare quality,” said Loris Messina and Simone Rizzo. “Moschino has always embodied this spirit as a cultural maison guided by a strong, recognisable and radical vision, using pop as a critical tool rather than as a mere aesthetic. Assuming Creative Direction means embracing this legacy and projecting it into the present, strengthening its relevance and its capacity to shape the contemporary imagination.”
